As you’re aware, people on the front line of the COVID-19 response around the world are showing total bravery by risking their lives and helping others.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation that is directly responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and helping some of the world’s most vulnerable people, such as those living in countries affected by conflict. This includes sanitation work to prevent the spread of the disease and supporting vital health infrastructure such as hospitals. It also involves working to ensure access to clean water for countless communities and resilience-building activities to mitigate the impact of the pandemic.

Hello all and Merry FRIDAY. It’s been quite a week. A lot of tiredness and all the emotions. But here we are on the brink of the weekend, we just about made it!
So let’s get going with this week’s round-up of PETITE New Arrivals that have hit the Online Stores this week. I do this every Friday, just in time for the weekend – though, sadly for my purse strings, as we all know, online shopping definitely isn’t limited to the weekend! All items are available online, at time of publishing this post.
Let me know if you see something you like! And don’t forget to tag me in any shots of your purchases – tag me @judypink and use the hashtag #NeverConciseShopping

Off the back of my THIS IS ME blog post, I will now be mainly focussing on Petite styles for my blog. Going forward, I feel like this is most relevant to me and what I would WEAR. Being mid-size and petite is really difficult – so if I can find some styles that would suit my stature, then I hope they give you some inspiration too! I want to be completely honest in my focus and I really think embracing my “mid size, size” is the way to go forwards!

I absolutely love this NEW dress from Marks & Spencer, who by the way, are consistently smashing the dress-game this season! I’ve not seen it IRL yet, but I think this in the shorter length would be a perfect shape for women with my stature. The silky-golden goodness makes it a perfect Christmas dress too (yep, I went there!). And you KNOW this dress is gonna fly out of stores and online, so in the words of M&S themselves, “GET IT OR CRY LATER”. Eeek!
I mean, does it get any better than fluffy heels?! And such a good price! These Marks & Spencer beauties will be smashing with dresses, skirts and allllll of the jeans!
And how could I not include a little bit of animal print? I love this shape that M&S keep reviving. It’s just the right shape for my stature. It nips in at the waist, which is flattering for ALL body shapes and sizes, and the long sleeves are always welcome.

For a side note, I’m Mid-Sized. I’m 5 ft nothing. I’m somewhere between 10-14, depending on the shop. We are the forgotten women. I hope my pick’s are inclusive for all. But just to give you an idea of my stature; and I hope my pick’s help you too, whatever your dress size!
I’ve been looking at Womenswear for some style inspiration this week and I’m noticing a lot of check prints across online stores. Check print is a great way to jazz up your Winter wardrobe – you can go for full on geometric digital prints or more muted tones to suit the weather.
Here are some of my favourite pieces, on my must-by list!
(Some check’s might be cheating as they’re not quite your stereotype check’s… but you’ll catch my drift, I’m sure).
It recently came to my attention, whilst shopping at Bluewater shopping centre, that there was A LOT of leather going on. I’ve always been partial to a leather jacket, but never EVER dared to wear a leather pair of trousers or even a skirt for instance. But whilst browsing the fixtures, I became really rather drawn into the leather pencil skirts on display. Could I ACTUALLY like a leather skirt? Could I ACTUALLY pull one off? I’m not so sure about the latter, but I do indeed have a penchant for a leather skirt! I don’t think there’s any way to possibly escape them either – leather skirts are in for A/W 13. So here are my pick of the best skirts I’ve found, that are available online right now!
Straight Leather Midi Skirt, Navy Blue – £79.99 from Zara. I absolutely LOVE this petrol-blue colour. I think this piece would work so well in your Autumnal wardrobe.
Split Lucille Leather Skirt, Oxblood – £198.00 from AllSaints.com I WISH I was brave enough to wear this amazing skirt. LOVE the Oxblood colourway. This is definitely a skirt that does the talking, so less is more when it comes to your accessories.
Whistles Suzie Leather Pencil Skirt, Black – £95.00 from John Lewis Ah the classic black leather skirt. Screams Parisian chic more than biker chic – and that is why I like it; although I don’t see why you couldn’t toughen this style up with biker details on your footwear or jacket!
Metallic Leather Skirt, Gold – £79.99 from Zara. Now this is my ‘fruity’ option. It’s a pretty jazzy skirt by all accounts, but I really think it works with the crisp white blouse and ankle boots.
Urban Code Leather Pencil Skirt, Forest Green – RRP £150, NOW £90 (save 40%) from ASOS.com How beautiful is this green colourway? The perfect hue for any A/W wardrobe – and even better with the 40% off! Cheers ASOS!
We’ve been invited to a wedding on Saturday 21st July… my due date is just 6 days after said-wedding. Whether we even make it to the 21st July without Baby Boy arriving is actually a bet in itself!
But this set aside, I thought I’d have a look at some Maternity ‘Occasion’ dresses anyway. I headed to all the usual Maternity stockists online and came to ASOS.com last, but by no means least. I was quite honestly shocked at the full range of smart to casual that they had on there! Wish I’d visited earlier in my pregnancy now!
Anyway, here are my favourites… These dresses all scream elegance, but also look really very comfortable. I’m sure you could also get away with most of them post-pregnancy too!
